It's with the full expectation of stepping into the hallway on the twenty-first floor that Peter Burke steps off the elevator. This is, after all, how it's worked every other time he's done it for the past sixteen years.
So when he steps off the elevator and is instead greeted with brightly colored lights and the sensation of floating, Peter is understandably confused and more than a little worried. And when those pass, only to find himself in the middle of a quiet side street, it does nothing to help either of those feelings.
Either he's hallucinating, or this is an incredibly vivid dream, and Peter doesn't have those very often.
So, a few blocks away from the Kashtta is a Special Agent looking more and more annoyed and confused to hide the fact that he's getting more and more worried about the fact that he might have just snapped.
Somebody should probably reassure him that that's not the case.
