The Doctor, now that he's no longer covered in ice cream and god knows what else, is wandering. As usual. The park, at least, is a safer place than anywhere else he might have gone tonight - which... really isn't saying much.

He didn't mean to run into Ruvin, walking along with his eyes on his feet, vaguely hoping something interesting happens to him. It's only when he's nearly on top of her that he blinks and stumbles backward. "Sorry, I didn't mean- Oh, it's you."

He really hopes she doesn't turn into a small animal on him again.

She feels him coming. Good lord, can she tell he's there.

Ruvin's fairly sure she's let her awareness loose around the Doctor before. Hasn't she? Was she focused on something else?

Hot dog. Right. Hot dog.

She's frozen in place, almost drunk on the feeling he carries around him--heavy, dark, ferocious potential. When he almost trips on her, well, that snaps her out of it. She jerks and stares up at him, her eyes huge.

I threw a tray at his head, Ruvin thinks. She gulps.

"Hullo." It comes out as a squeak.

The Doctor blinks at her a moment. He only almost tripped over her, he doesn't think that look is really called for...

"Hello," he says softly, frowning a little. Every time he meets her, every time... "Sorry, is there a... reason you're looking at me like that?"

"I-- what? Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... look at you. A particular way. I was just surprised."

Right. Er. Anyway.

She looks down and fiddles with the toes of her shoes. "You're out rather late."
