We're falling through space, you and me...

The Doctor's decided to leave the hotel - he sort of had to sneak out, because he's got a feeling Martha would threaten him with... well, not death, but serious pain, if he went on his own, but the Doctor has had experience getting out of places he shouldn't ( Read more... )

Calisto spends a lot of time by the pier. She loves the sea, because it never, ever changes.

It's nearly as untouchable as she is.

She feels the Doctor on the pier as she approaches it.

Yes, she's starting to love this location even more. It never ceases to be so many levels of fun.

She leans on the railing next to him, but doesn't say anything. Yet. It doesn't seem like he's someone that can be startled. That's why it's fun to try.

The Doctor glances over, utterly unsurprised by her presence. He smiles at her a little as he says rather cheerfully, "Hello."

He picks up the basket of chips and holds it out to her. "Do you want some chips? They're just getting cold at this rate." He's a little too used to Rose stealing them all before they have the chance to. Even after so long.

"Hi." Attempt one has failed, but oh... she'll get him one day.

Calisto smiles and slips her hand into the basket when its offered. She takes a chip and bites it in half. Her chewing is loud, echoing, almost against the sound of the waves.

"Fancy meeting you out here." She smirks. "And without your babysitter even, that is something."

"Oh, she told me to stay put. I just didn't listen. Happens a lot with me."

Doing things he shouldn't do. Going places he shouldn't go. It's why he was exiled from Gallifrey in the first place, when it comes down to it. Always the one causing problems, stirring up trouble.

"I don't need a babysitter, by the way. Over a thousand years, and I haven't needed one yet." With everything he gets into, that's very debatable, and surely Martha and several other people would disagree, but they're not here to argue.

Mathias shouldn't be out either. Not without Des, at any rate. Buuuuut he doesn't want to deal with Des right now - best friend or not, the guy can get a little tiring from time to time - and fresh air is always nice.

And he recognizes the Doctor as the guy Des is always glaring at and muttering about. So, obviously, he decides to make friends with him.

"Hey," he says, leaning against the railing a couple feet away. "You're in the basement at the Conrad, right?"

The Doctor grins a little at the question without turning to look. "Yep, that's me. Well, me and a good... what, two hundred other people? Anyway, you're right there. Don't think I've met you, I'm afraid..."

"Mathias," He nods a little, doesn't offer his hand. "And you are the Doctor, I think. The guy Des keeps glaring at. He's been extremely cranky lately thanks to you."

Not that he sounds ENTIRELY displeased with that. Des may be his best friend, and Mathias may be human now, but he was a demon for thousands of years.

The Doctor makes an effort to look utterly innocent as soon as Des is mentioned. "Has he? I wouldn't think you'd be able to tell the difference."

Okay, that was uncalled for. But the Doctor gets a little prickly when it comes to Desmond Descant. Something about him just... rubs him the wrong way.

Revan has been watching the Doctor for awhile now. Something about the man intrigues her, but she can't entirely grasp what it is. So when he sneaks out to go to the pier, she snags her newly acquired passcard and follows him, quietly. Still in the robes and armour she came in. Which might raise some eyebrows when it comes to passersby, but she doesn't really care.

At the pier, she comes up behind him and snags one of the chips, sitting down next to him without invitation.

"The Doctor, right?" She states, without preamble.

He can't say he minds the chip stealing - travelling with Rose kind of conditioned him to expect it. The Doctor just grins and turns to look at her, not even batting an eye at her style of dress.

"Yeah, that's me." Somehow everyone seems to know that here. Which is nice, in a way, saves him the whole "Doctor who?" question, but it is a bit odd. "And... I'm sorry, I have absolutely no idea who you are."

Revan smiles in a mischievous sort of way for no apparent reason. "I'm Revan. Revan Onasi. One of the other Wanderers."

"Oh!" he says, realization striking. "Of course you are! Hello, then."

He flashes her a goofy, puppyish grin over his shoulder.
