At this very moment, Julian Sark is in the lobby of the Kashtta Tower for no other reason than a stubborn attitude learned from the Queen of Stubborn Attitudes, herself (and only matched by the Crown Princess- yes, Sydney, we're looking at you), because clearly when he's not the first choice for a mission in general, the only logical thing to do is ( Read more... )

And then there's a robot, kinda ambling up to Sark and scanning him over. Don't mind CNJ, Sark, it just registered this as the leadup to a controlling timeline event and figured that it should scan for discrepancies.

Elsewhere in the building, the Vesmier has become as acquainted with the psychic amplifier as he's going to become and has been looking, physically and mentally, for Gwen. He has some recommendations and cautions to make.

Sark stares for a moment. Staring yields no results. Speaking might be helpful, but all that manages to come out of his mouth is a mostly placid, albeit punctuated with a bit of mild severity, "What. The. Hell?"

All he wants to know at this point is when did this become his life?

Had CNJ heard that particular thought process, and had it any sense of humor to speak of, it might have suggested that Sark and Sam might enjoy commiserating on that issue.

But it didn't, and it might not, so it doesn't.

And the staring continues, although this time with less placidity and more slightly annoyed disbelief, because there's just something that gets him tetchy about anything knowing his name when he hasn't actually given it... It's a thing. It's also not a thing he feels like addressing right now.

He tilts his head to the side. "What makes you think I know? They haven't exactly explained it in great detail." Oh he knows kinda what's going on, but there's a vaguely insinuated, And what makes you think I would tell you? there... Of course, that's generally expected of anyone in Sark's position. You don't give out information to strange robots... Unless they tell you they'll kill you otherwise. Then you do, if you're him.

It's rather sad that that was pretty much 85% of Sark's existence before he came here.... With fewer robots.
