Shepard's Wardflame has just flared up. So she gears up, leaves a note in her journal for Dresden, grabs Sully, and heads out. She's at the construction site moments later, staring at the blond girl who's just come through the Rift.

"Hey," she calls out, trying to get her attention. Her pistol's on hand, just in case.

Buffy raises an eyebrow at the woman, glancing from her gun to her face. Guns. Really?

"Hi. Look, I don't know what's going on or why you brought me here, but send me back where I came from and I promise, no one gets hurt." She's a tiny blonde girl and does not look like she poses that much of a threat, but... she's used to people underestimating her because of that. People who don't know she's the Slayer, at least, which... okay, they probably already know that if they brought her here...

Shepard laughs. "I didn't bring you here. The Rift did. It's not something I can control. I'm just the welcoming party." She glances behind herself, looking for Dresden. "Me and one other guy, if he ever shows up... you're not getting out of that circle until he does."

Rift is an unfamiliar term for Buffy. If she'd said Hellmouth, she might have actually believed her, but Rift just gets a confused frown.

"The what now?" And hearing that she's not getting out of here without 'that one other guy' does not improve her mood. "So... is this guy gonna be here any time soon, or should I just sit down and get comfortable?"
