watch out, cupid stuck me with a sickness

[The last thirty or so hours had been... strange, to say the least, and it's doubtful that Allen's absence in their room went unnoticed. He hadn't made it back before daylight, and had needed to stay out. But he finally returns to the room again an hour or two past sundown, because staying out much longer than that without any notice to Lavi would ( Read more... )

[Lavi drops whatever book he was flipping through to jump up and wrap his arms around Allen tightly for a few suffocating (if Allen could breathe) seconds. Don't up and disappear on him, bro. He doesn't have too many sane bits left, and Allen was the major reason those pieces were still sticking together]

Allen! Are you hurt? What happened?

[And before Allen can really reply to Lavi's question, he steps back to about arm's length, checking Allen head to toe for any new injuries. And then he peers at Allen's expression as if that will help him unlock some of the puzzle. He looks upset]

[That can't be good]

[Nope. Definitely can't breathe with Lavi holding him that tightly. Thank goodness he doesn't need to. He's sorry for disappearing though, really he is. He didn't think Lavi would want him trying to make it back during the day, even if he wanted to. He shakes his head in answer until Lavi lets go of him, and then sucks in a breath to refill his lungs.]

I'm fine, I just..

[He's not upset, exactly. Maybe a little lost, unsure. Very unsure. He lifts a hand to rub at the back of his neck, as he so often tended to do when he was trying and failing to say something very difficult.] It was a long night...

[Lavi tugs on his wrist, trying to get him to sit down on the bed. It looked like a long night. Maybe Allen just needed to rest for a bit. Catch his bearings]

[As they make their way over across the room, Lavi bites his lip, considering whether or not he should pry. He had been second guessing himself on that a lot lately. He wanted to, but did Allen want him, too. Or was he just humoring Lavi like most people did]

[In the end though, Lavi can't really help himself before blurting out]

Do you want to talk about it?

[Always the bed. It was kind of a comforting routine, really, though Allen would swear he spent more time on the bed of this room than much of anywhere else - which was sort of odd, considering he'd never used it for anything... inappropriate.

...he blinks at the question though. Lavi... didn't usually ask if he wanted to talk about it. He asked what was wrong. Allen frowns in a slightly confused way, but nods.]

Of course... [Though the 'of course' only applies to Lavi.] ...it's probably something you should know about, anyway.
