[The last thirty or so hours had been... strange, to say the least, and it's doubtful that Allen's absence in their room went unnoticed. He hadn't made it back before daylight, and had needed to stay out. But he finally returns to the room again an hour or two past sundown, because staying out much longer than that without any notice to Lavi would have been kind of inexcusable.
He doesn't knock when he enters the room, because he doesn't feel any need to. It's their home - so he just slips inside quietly, and leans back against the door once it's closed again.
