Yoochun bit his lip in a frown as he scanned Kim Jaejoong’s student profile.  After putting the paper down, he cursed under his breath. He wanted to invite Jaejoong to the Secret Eden, but clearly the alluring student didn’t meet the qualifications.

Yoochun could immediately tell a lot about people, it was a talent, and he knew Jaejoong was the type who could stir things up, make things more exciting. He liked him instantly and he found himself frustrated by the fact that Jaejoong couldn’t be part of their circle.

“He’s a fucking scholar. His parents are professors at a community college and he lives at a small townhouse with them…plus eight sisters.” Yoochun tucked the paper back in the folder and leaned his head to the chair with a deep sigh. “This is great. I can’t find anything to get Yunho to attend the auction. And now, the only freshman that caught my attention is practically off limits.”

Changmin sat on Yoochun’s desk and took the folder from his hands. He stared at the picture on the student profile. “Disappointing. I would’ve placed a bid on him in the auction.”

---

Why couldn’t this university’s cafeteria serve regular food like fish and chips or mashed potatoes?

Jaejoong covered his mouth with one hand and held back his tears from falling. He’d just taken a bite from a sandwich that he had almost immediately thrown to the trashcan. What was in it? Anchovies? Caviar? Blue cheese? Raw meat? Jaejoong didn’t really know. It was bitter and sour and spicy all at the same time.  It was the first time his tongue had tasted something so repulsive. He wasn’t used to it and he didn't think he ever would.

His feet rushed to the restroom, his mouth wanting to get the slob of food out of his mouth. He knew he would barf if he didn’t spit the thing out soon.

He immediately pushed the door open, hoping that nobody was inside. He rushed to the cubicle and spit the food in his mouth. His face curled in a displeased look and he wiped his lips with the back of his tongue.

His taste buds still caught the lingering after taste. It was the worst bite he had of anything, but he was thankful that at least, whatever it was, it was out of his mouth.

“Crap,” he cursed soundlessly as he leaned himself against the cubicle door and looked up the ceiling.

“Ah…did you hear that?”

Jaejoong turned his head to the direction of the sound; his senses suddenly became more attentive when he heard the female voice. She was panting…whimpering.

His body tensed at the sound. He remained quiet, so cautious that he was even conscious of the sound of his breaths. How had he not noticed earlier?

“Nobody’s here baby”

He heard a deep husky voice and it was soon trailed by mewl. Jaejoong almost jumped in surprise when he caught the sound of a hand slapping the thin wall separating them. Nails raked the wooden barrier. “Uhnn…fuck…please”

The girl whimpered again and a low grunt by the boy she was with followed. Jaejoong could feel his cheeks heating up as he heard more of the noises. He knew what kind of intimate moment he was cornered in. His eyes found their way to the small gap under the thin wall, he could see shadows moving, dancing against the light.

“Fuck” he heard the deep voice once more, and a shiver shot up his spine. He told himself to get out before he got himself into any trouble, but his legs were glued to the ground.

The moans from the girl became more labored and uncontrolled, he could hear lips smacking against each other and clothes ruffling. Nails, once again, scratched the feeble wall separating Jaejoong from them.

“Yun-ahhh….!”  The girl’s voice was strained but only out of utter pleasure.

“Shh…there’s class just next door”

“Yunho!”

Shit. Jaejoong felt heat creep to his body.  The low, erotic noises made him shiver. He tried closing his eyes to calm himself down, but all he could see when he did so was himself in their position, whimpering, getting pleasured.

A low moan.

He imagined what it was like to have the same lips laid on his.

“Fuck…please…”

He could almost feel hands against his burning.

A grunt, a whimper.

He could visualize what was happening. He could almost see why the girl was begging.

Unstable breathing.

He wondered whom the deep, sensual voice belonged to.

It was sick, he thought, standing there and listening to a couple do such things to each other. It was perverted, getting turned on by strangers having a quick romp. But he couldn’t help himself.

If this was how life was in GeumDae. He knew he was screwed.

It took a few minutes before the couple stopped. He watched as the shadows moved and he listened for the lavatory door to open and shut. Jaejoong still remained unmoving as he waited for a little bit more before he decided to walk out.

His soul almost pranced off his body when he saw someone standing with an unlit cigarette between his fingers, their eyes met through the mirror. It was a half of the couple.

Jaejoong’s mouth suddenly dried, he wanted to run, but he couldn’t. In his head he cursed the goddamned sandwich for bringing him to such a predicament.

---

Yunho stared at the reflection of the pale figure standing behind him. His cheeks were flushed. His lips were slightly parted from breathing through his mouth. His big eyes mirrored that he had been caught off guard and Yunho didn’t miss the minor, but still visible bulge in his pants.

Yunho smirked. He didn’t need to be a genius to figure out he had been there all along. He heard.

The person behind him was unfamiliar, but Yunho felt himself stir at the raw and sensuous face he carried. The heat was obvious in his cheeks and there was something in the way he breathed that made things so evocative. The way he bit his lips in a mix of embarrassment and unsureness was sinful and tempting, Yunho thought.

“Like what you heard?” He tucked his cigarette back in his pants and smirked to the mirror, still eyeing the figure behind. “Naughty. Listening to us and getting turned on.”

The flush on his cheeks grew, “I…I’m sorry”

Yunho moved to the still figure, close enough to smell his vanilla scent. “You don’t need to be. Maybe next time I’ll have your voice bouncing off these walls instead,” he whispered with that deep voice that made the other shiver once again.

Jaejoong froze, he was sure it was only cruel joke.

---

For all the three years he had stayed in GeumDae, Kim Junsu, had never seen anyone so strange. He stared amusedly at his seatmate who had buried his head on his desk.

Junsu tapped his shoulder and he immediately shot his head up. His seatmate wore a startled expression but he flashed a small smile after seeing the friendly face.

“Are you okay?” Junsu asked, looking at his deep doe eyes.

“Yea…sorry,” he replied, laughing a little at himself.

“I’m Kim Junsu, by the way.” He stretched his hand out, the other student looked at it for a short while before stretching his own.

“Kim Jaejoong. Nice to meet you.” Unfortunately, before they exchanged anything further, the professor came in and started the lecture.

Jaejoong had a long way to go in GeumDae, but he glanced at his seatmate and smiled to himself, a small tinge of relief overcame him. At least he had one person who talked to him already.

A few minutes into the lecture and the door to their classroom opened. Jaejoong’s eyes widened at the person who entered, it was the same boy he met in the restroom. He could feel his cheeks starting to heat up again.

The tardy student walked to the professor with a serious face and he handed a piece of paper and bowed apologetically.

“Sir, I’m really sorry,” Jaejoong could faintly hear him. “I had to do a speech for the upcoming pre-law students. The program ran late,” The professor scanned the paper briefly before he let the student sit down.

Jaejoong’s gaze followed him. He slightly flinched, when the student turned to their direction, luckily he didn’t see him.

The latecomer found his way to the front row and smiled politely at the person next to the empty slot before he took a seat.

He was completely different from who Jaejoong saw in the washroom, so different that he felt like he was watching a whole new person.

Jaejoong tapped Junsu and leaned his head slightly to whisper, “That guy, do you know him?” He pointed at the boy who just entered.

Junsu looked at him with a mix of disbelief and amusement. “Are you seriously asking me who he is?”

Jaejoong didn’t reply.

“Jung Yunho, heir of the biggest law firm chain in South Korea. He’s a senior, but he’s pursuing law school after. He’s one of the top students in his class. Obviously, he’s fucking rich. Charismatic. Popular. Professors love him. What else? Girls…and guys dig him, in fact some of them wait around the field oval just to watch him jog and play a few kicks with the varsity team. Basically he’s GeumDae’s golden boy.”

Jaejoong sat back and watched Yunho’s back while breathing deeply. How could he be the same person he met earlier?

“But Jaejoong…” heard Junsu’s thick voice near his ear. “….remember, nothing…nobody in Geum Daehakgyo is what they seem.”

---

Jaejoong closed the lid of the piano. The sun was setting and he was all alone in the university’s  music room. For the few days he’s been in GeumDae, he had learned that the music room was his favorite spot. None of the kids really visited the place so nobody bothered him when he played. He liked it, just him and the music.

He sighed before he grabbed his vibrating phone from his pocket.

Joong-ah, where are you? Mom wants you to pick up some eggs.

His lips curled into a small smile before he tucked his phone back in. He grabbed his sling bag and dashed to the door. If he wanted to catch the grocer, he needed to leave soon.

Just as he pushed the knobs, he felt the door hit something…someone on the other side.

“Son of a bitch!”

He took a deep breath and swallowed at the sound of the annoyed voice. He looked at the person he’d just bumped; it was a tall guy with glasses and beside him was another student with an uneven fringe. The energy drink he was holding seemed to have spilled a little on his sleeve. Jaejoong worried, he hoped it wasn't expensive, but that was highly unlikely, considering that they were in GeumDae.

“I’m sorry!” he apologizeld profusely, again and again.

The two turned to his voice and the irritation from the tall boy’s face suddenly vanished and spun into surprise. His mouth formed an ‘o’.  “It’s the pretty kitten…”

Jaejoong bowed slightly, trying his best to pretend he didn’t hear the little nickname he’d been called.

He heard a warm laugh.  “You’ll have to excuse Changmin, he’s an ass.”

Jaejoong stared at the boy with an uneven fringe.  He had seen him before.

“I’ll go wash," Changmin excused himself and Jaejoong wanted to leave with him, but he felt eyes lingering.

Yoochun eyed him. “Kim. Jae. Joong.” He was shocked to hear his name from the other’s mouth.

It was only the two of them now.

“Y-you know who I am?”

“In fact, yes, I do. Oh and I’m sorry for being rude I’m Park…”

“….Yoochun.” Jaejoong added. He knew it. No wonder his face was familiar. How could he have not realized it earlier? He felt his breath hitch. It was Park Yoochun. Park Yoochun.

“You know me?”

Jaejoong was surprised at the candidness Yoochun displayed. Of course Jaejoong knew him. Who wouldn’t? He was the son of one of the most influential people in the senate and if that wasn't enough to put him in the social radar, the tabloids would have. He had been a hot topic a few years ago. Resident Badass of Seoul, they’d call him. Jaejoong was sure most things about him were exaggerations, but he couldn’t miss the few photos of him in parties, or along the highway, driving some fancy car with a cigarette tucked between his lips.

Jaejoong only nodded and Yoochun reached for a handshake. When they touched each other’s hands, they both felt it…they knew they weren’t going to be simple acquaintances.

A light silence passed them.

Jaejoong felt a cold finger on his cheek. “Hey, lighten up,” Yoochun said with a big grin and Jaejoong laughed. He really didn’t know why exactly.

So far, he had been very tense in his stay in GeumDae, and there he was, of all people, getting his cheek poked by the Park Yoochun and it didn’t seem intimidating to him at all. It felt like some invisible weight he carried disappear. It was so ironic and relieving that Jaejoong just had to burst in laughter.

Yoochun was a stunned when he heard the sudden laughter from Jaejoong, but he couldn't resist smiling. It was one of the most refreshing sounds he’d heard in a while, and he soon found himself laughing along for no reason.

Their voices echoed through the hallway. Both Yoochun and Jaejoong hadn’t felt such liberation in a long time.

“Park!”

The two of them immediately stopped and their heads shot to the direction of the voice. Yoochun didn’t miss how Jaejoong’s body tensed again at the sight of the person who’d just called him.

It was Yunho.

Jaejoong found himself swallowing his own spit as Yunho jogged towards them. He could feel the redness in his cheeks flaring up all over.

Yoochun’s eyes narrowed as he watched Jaejoong’s stiff reactions. He then turned to Yunho and saw how Yunho’s intent gaze settled on Jaejoong.

Yunho licked his lips before turned to him.

Immediately, Yoochun felt that something was off. What was it?

“What are you doing here?” Yoochun questioned.

“I was talking to Professor Baek in the other room and I saw you and...uhm…”

“Kim Jaejoong,” Yoochun answered before Jaejoong could even open his mouth.

Yunho licked his bottom lip again and Jaejoong could barely glance at him.

Yoochun didn’t miss the look in Yunho’s eyes as they rested on the freshman. He bit his tongue, trying to figure things out.

Yoochun pulled Jaejoong closer to him, taking his wrist, “Do you have any business with us, Jung?”

What’s happening? Jaejoong felt himself getting nervous.

Yunho’s eyes lingered on their hands. Yoochun smirked. It all clicked in his head.

He recognized that look.

Yunho wanted something, and Yoochun knew what it was.

B I N G O.

“He’s striking, isn’t he, Yunho? He’ll be one of the auctions. Too bad you aren’t going.” Yoochun dragged Jaejoong away and Yunho could only watch the two figures disappear through the hallway.

Yunho clicked his tongue. His eyes were set, he wanted Jaejoong. He wanted to have him before anyone else did and if he wanted to win the bet, he had to take Jaejoong even before the auction started.
