Ooh, this is good and clever and haunting and ambiguous. And with some wonderful turns of phrase, too. I particularly enjoyed the "belts are something that happens to other people" bit, and the closing remark about villains. Thumbs up!

Thank you! Though the line "[x] is something that happens to other people" is one of Terry Pratchett/Neil Gaiman's from their novel, Good Omens, so I can't claim credit for it. (The villain remark is entirely my own, so I'm glad you liked it!)

Only fantasists and film producers think that the weather will coincide with their narrative whims. Stories do not begin once upon a time, and they do not begin whenever it is most dramatic for them to do so.
Unless you follow the Theory of Narrative Casuality :D

...okay, seriously now.
THIS IS SO BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN. It's so Moffat-ish, and just... Amazing.
I applaud you, ma'am. You are an amazing writer <3

Ahaha, you know, my writing this was a bit inspired by Pratchett - I was rereading The Fifth Elephant today, which is all about stories and the truth and points of view, amongst other things, and then tonight whilst I was trying to write a journal entry, this sort of happened instead.

Thank you very much for your lovely review! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. :)

I love Terry Pratchett so much. All his books are awesome.
Not that I've read them all. But I will, and I bet they're all equally awesome :D
I think Witches Abroad centres almost completely on the Theory of Narrative Casuality. It's all about fairy tales, anyway.

Fffff no problem :D Just keep writing awesome stuff.
Which reminds me, I had an idea for a fic that I really need to work out. BUT SCHOOL IS DRAINING ME ARGH.

He's my favourite author of all time, I think. :D I've read most (maybe all?) the Witches books, but I think Carpe Jugulum and Lords and Ladies are my favourites. I haven't read Witches Abroad in forever, though. Maybe it's time for a reread! :D

This fits in well with this season with Steven Moffat. I don't know how to say it better than 'it just fits.' I liked the rhythm played within the words. It read like you were reading a fairy tale; I read it aloud to see if it seemed that way to me.

I liked how this was written. Very nicely done!

It was designed to read that way, so I'm very glad it did! Thanks for reading and reviewing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

You're very welcome and I must admit, I'm relieved that it was meant to be read that way; I had a bad feeling I was reading so much more into it but that just felt right, to describe it that way when reading it.

Oooooooh. I LOVE IT!

Is it possible to marry a fic?
