Ok, I only really have one thought - alright, no, I have lots of thoughts, but they can basically be summarized in one sentence:

I don't usually do reaction posts of my own, I just wait for someone to post one that I agree with and then comment. I'm with you, sister. I'm fond of Bobby, enough that I even teared up a couple times during Ep10. I think a lot of the other fans have gotten tired of Bobby because he has honestly been way over-used this season. It's like the show is trying to make up for the character gap that was left when Cas got axed, while doing exactly the opposite of what they intended to do with this season, which was supposed to be getting Dean and Sam back to their basic elements.

Ep10 was not perfect, but I liked the dreamscape element, loved Rufus showing up with his dangling earring and Sam's woobie face while rubbing at his palm. (please, god, bring back Mark Pellegrino!) I think it's the best ep since Ep2. The idea of Bobby coming back as a ghost though makes me seriously bummed out. This show just needs to let people rest in freaking peace occasionally.

I don't think Bobby will be a spirit. I think he chose to go. I would prefer they handle it that way. Bobby would be on mean ass spirit!

I think they do need to show the boys mourning their loss and I'm sure they will. This is a huge hit for them.

I'm sure Bobby will be back in flashbacks and other random instances. Death doesn't stop anyone from being a guest star on this show!

I am so totally with you. Personally I am a Bobby fan. I know I am supposed to at least like John Winchester, but how can you? I don't get it, but thats just me. I love how they did let you see the past relationships between Bobby and Dean and how it got to be that they see him as a parent.
Now I will be dissapointed and confused if Bobby doesn't die because the writers themselves said that one you see the Reaper, it's all over so I have prepared myself for ghost Bobby.
The thing that really pissed me off is the last 2 times Rufus has been on the show he has stolen every scene he has been in.
Oh yeah, I'm right there with you JENSEN!DEAN. when the total melt down comes it's gonna be good.

I too had just about the same reaction. Jim, Jared, and Jensen really did a truly marvelous acting job on this episode. I as well have prety much always liked Jims' character Bobby and now I am really stewing to find out what happens in January! Loose Bobby?!?! Please say it is not so! But if that is where the show goes...... I have been a fan since the pilot episode. I may not have liked where the writers have taken us at times, or thought that they could have done a better job sometimes. But it is hard to get that much emotion and drama packed into a 1 hour show. My hat is tipped as always to the actors who do such a beautiful job with the material they are given, and after 6 1/2 years to have managed to keep the integrity of their individual characters and relationships evolving the way they have is amazing. We must remember there is always a severe twist when we get back from hiatus. We can only wait....but that does not mean the waiting will not be torture. Have a great week, and keep the faith.

I *loved* this episode, but it was a total shock--no spoilers--so when they #$%@ *KILLED BOBBY*??! O.O I'm not a noisy crier, but my SIL still knew to slide the box of kleenex to the floor. OH THE TEARS. Total ba*stards for killing him off. M'just sayin'. *grumbles*

But yeah, beyond the ENDING OF BOBBY, I thought it was fantastic. Rufus, woobie!Sam trying desperately to hold it together, Dean & Dick's staring contest (ha!) and Dean's scene with the donor guy? I'm a Sammy!girl at heart, but I was totally Team!Dean for a moment. ;)
