A lot of people tend to ask me when, how and why I got online.. and more specifically the history of my blogging. The internet and blogging is so much a part of me, I can't imagine life without it. So, I decided to write a little story of when I first went got online.... until present day :)

We got the internet at home at the end of 1995 or early 1996. I was 11. Probably started my first website around that time too. It's scary (and embarrassing!) to think back on what I used to post on my website!

Do you still have copies of your old websites somewhere? Or have you tried looking on the Internet Archive Wayback Machine for copies? Could be worth a look for a chuckle!

You were v young when you started too :)

Sadly apart from the Gemz domain, I don't remember any of the URLs of my long-ago sites so I can't search for them! :( :(

LOL those were the days. And the internet felt so much smaller then! Now, the websites *need* fast internet speeds or they'll never load..

I dunno, I kinda consider you almost my meet-online friend. As we met in a work setting, it didn't really count... we bonded online :P

Lisa I truly met online. We arranged a dinner date at St Leonards one night, hahahah!
