HOMEMADE SPANISH OMELETTE

We randomly decided to make a Spanish omelette one morning for breakfast/brunch. The only thing was that we couldn't find Chorizo sausage in any of the supermarkets near us! So we swapped it for some smoked pork & garlic sausages and they turned out just as well. It's an easy dish that you can mix and match whatever you want in there ( Read more... )

I think crabstick is too weird to go into a Spanish omelette (too chinese-y) but pepperoni would be fab!

Oh that's my trademark breakfast dish. I throw everything i have in the fridge and lots of cheese. Eewyn calls my creation "Elenzza" (elena + pizza). BTW how come it's Spanish?

Why does he consider it a pizza? So weird, lol!!

It's SPanish cos of the chorizo, but I didn't find any so technically its not v spanish at all... but the dish originally uses chorizo and is a spanish recipe :)

Well it looks like pizza - round, has tomatos, lots of cheese and other pizza ingredients :)) It's just that instead of bread you've got eggs.

Have been following yr blog from Sydney days to Shanghai. Love reading it!
Will be heading down to Shanghai next Sat for a week. Was wondering if you have any recommendations for food or shopping? Thinking of tailoring clothes as well, heard its pretty cheap!

Thanks much!

Looks like a really delicious breakfast meal, but I don't think that's actually a Spanish omelette (also called Tortilla, but is not related to the Mexican flour based pancake) which is normally more solid, like a pie which is served sliced in to wedges:

Here's one I attempted a while back although it doesn't look very pretty:
