There are many ways for Ianto to live I think. I'm going purely on the if they all claimed they wanted a series 4, they should know that this was monumentally bad fuck up if they really killed him off principle.

Since I haven't seen it, my imagination won't accept that it really happened.

Nah, it would only make it worse. This way, I can imagine that it hasn't really happened. Kind of like my other fandom. I didn't see the last movie, so my fav character didn't die in a completely stupid way.

There's always a chance but it doesn't look likely.

If it is a fake out, I'll be miffed.

If it's permanent, they've screwed themselves for another season.

It's just going to leave so many fans bitter. Just...not the way to do it. I know the powers that be can do whatever they want, but it feels like being toyed with. And from a ratings perspective? Going to KILL the show. And the show was doing so well this season, I think.

Doubtful, I think people want to still see how it will pan out. It'll only drop off after that.

Maybe at Comic Con later this month people will ask about it and we'll get a little relief? I can hold out for months if I know there's reason for hope.
