HAVE SOME MORE SPAM.

"Civil Defense" has got to be one of my favorite episodes of DS9 ever. I remember in college putting it on loop in the background at one point when I was studying so that I could look up at any point in the afternoon and encounter awesome, and this rewatch is not disappointing me.

I can't think of any time after this where the self-destruct option was used. I'll keep an eye out for it while I'm on rewatch, though -- if there was a time to do it it was during the Dominion War, right?

This must have aired when I was only being able to watch in a somewhat aggravatingly sporadic manner, because I DO NOT REMEMBER it and it sounds like it is full of awesome. Damnit, DS9, I loved you so much and then I failed as a fan who actually watches shit.

Man, I need to like, rent this shit on DVD or something.

This episode is really fantastic. I wish they had done more with the 'creepy unused mine!' portions of the station after this episode.

Yeah, you get the impression in CD that there's big chunks of the station that were never converted and stand about unused and you'd think they'd be great places for weird things to happen.
