Key things to know:
The library in question is the wizards' library at Unseen University, on the Discworld. The Librarian is an orangutan.
In the Discworld books, Death has regular cameos as a character. Death always speaks in all caps, without quotation marks.
There is no place on the Discworld called "England".
The Raven King is the key antagonist in Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, which is (mostly) set in an AU England.

The lexicon only has the vaguest of notions about Jonathan Strange, either. The only essential thing is that it has a lot of footnotes (the starting footnote is verbatim from the text, and is, in fact, the third on its own page).
