Hi! I found you through AO3! I'm morphogenesis there (thanks for the kudos on "beating like a hammer!") I'd leave a comment there on this but LJ is more user-friendly, haha.

WOW. THIS FIC. In the time since I first read it, I keep thinking about it -- what it manages to say in so little time: about its anonymous protagonist, about Clive, about Future London, and the messy interconnections of all three. How the entire story is a slow decline into an inevitable end for all three, and though you know what's coming you still have to keep reading because the interactions and insights are so compelling, and discovering them is so fun even though it simultaneously breaks your heart.

It stuck with me, to be less purple.

Calling it "haunting" wouldn't be too far off, to tell the truth! The interactions are, again, rendered beautifully, as are the descriptions of the empty city! The ending completely broke my heart and had me half-yelling "THE TEDDY BEAR!!!!!!" nonsensically.

So, thank you! It was a wonderful experience reading it.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much. Your comment just totally made my day. D':

I literally worked on this story for years, off and on (mostly off), and had sort of resigned myself to the large possibility that I would be its only fan. Because, really, what on earth? Family Goons? So the fact that someone who isn't me read and enjoyed it really just puts a huge smile on my face. Thank you so much for your kind words!

I loved both of your Zero Escape pieces, by the way. They were subtle and heart breaking and really quite perfect. I'm still periodically haunted by VLR, even though I played it in, what, February? So it was lovely to come across your work.

Aaaa, thank you so much. I got that kudos after binging on your AO3 archive so I had a quiet freakout about how an author whose work I really liked had liked my things hahaha. Yuuuup Zero Escape still ruins me day by day!!
