Recs, Idol, Snape
I forgot to mention that I updated my recs page (mirrored in my Dreamwidth Fic and Recs Journal beth_h)

As for the American Idol finale: all these things are totally subjective, of course, but from my p.o.v., Crystal should absolutely win. Lee's fine, but he just doesn't have a distinctive enough voice. Crystal does...and she's damned good. Mind you, Lee wasn't helped by the over-orchestration on 2/3 of his songs. He was sort of drowned out a bit, while Crystal was allowed to own the stage (to the extent she wanted to *g*)

And just to put it out there, I haven't forgotten that I still owe
kellychambliss and
cardigrl stories for their help_haiti bids (which...now that hp_beholder has ended, I'll be able to take care of). Mind you, the two people I donated for haven't finished their projects either, so I'm in good company. *g* Kelly and Cardigrl have both asked for Snape-centric pairings (of course), and in addition to those, I've submitted stories to both the Snape/Hermione Exchange (posting to start soon!) and the Snape/Luna Exchange (posting now)
As of now, I've paired Snape with nineteen* different characters

Remus
Dumbledore
Filch
Hagrid
Draco
Regulus
Lucius
Sirius
Kingsley
Scrimgeour
Slughorn
Lockhart
Pettigrew (technically)
McGonagall

Snape pairings still to be written: (Men) Karkaroff, Neville, Viktor, Flitwick, Aberforth, Moody, (Women) Ginny, Sprout, Pomfrey, Millicent.
A Snape fan's job is never done... :)
