Almost two weeks ago, I had an appointment at the local pain management center. First, let me say that the doctor did not impress me. He's arrogant and obnoxious, and talked down to me until my partner made it clear that she was a veterinarian. I.E., a medical professional that couldn't be bullshitted.

Well, I do hope this is really the wonder drug it seems to be for you --without any undiscovered nasty side effects that show up down the road. It sounds great so far!

Thanks! I just have to remember to pace myself -- less pain doesn't mean the fibro is gone. I can still have flares. And so far, the worst side effect is a bit of nausea every time the dose increased. But that was minor and didn't last.

I'm so glad your pain is lessening! I'm glad Dr. Arrogant is up on the latest, and you got to benefit. (Still, it always bugs me when the true arrogant, irritating ones actually have something to back up that attitude...)

Oh, I know! The only bad part of this is that I can't tell him to go...uh...fly a kite! Which I would have done if this drug hadn't worked. So, tell your friend with fibro to have her doctor get her started on Savella. Just make sure she knows that some insurance (like mine) require pre-approval for it. There was no problem getting the titration pack -- he gave me a coupon so it was free. I'm just hoping he can get the approval from the insurance company.
