ATTN apiphile : doing research for my dissertation, I wound up having to google for what flâneur means. Turns out that it's an untranslateable French word that reminded me of you.

The term flâneur comes from the French masculine noun flâneur-which has the basic meanings of "stroller", "lounger", "saunterer", "loafer"-which itself comes from the French verb ( Read more... )

an associate of mine refers to her partner as Le Flâneur - I have never learnt his real name. :D It is a great thing to aspire to, in my opinion.

yes, but walking around a mega-Tesco at 1am desperately searching for flan is one step away from the booby hatch.
