So, yesterday I was walking through town with a bunch of friends, and Gareth David Lloyd walked past with his girlfriend. He's actually not that pretty in this one, I think. He's too muscled. But, YMMV.

Hmm. I think she'll probably cope, since half the time it's only paying lip-service to canon anyway (Beak, wtf?). It is, however, very very silly.

As someone who isn't into the comics, and hasn't seen the other films (yes, I know Bethan, kill me now) I can say, it really doesn't matter at all. Very silly film,enjoyable evening out :D

This was pretty much my opinion, too! Apparently he is not even close to comic canon, but IDK, I don't read X-Men. I just liked the awesomeness.

I dunno, his backstory wasn't the same and they gave him something of a power upgrade but as far as his essential Gambitness goes I thought he was close enough for rock and roll. His diamond-hard pimpstick if you know what I mean was lol, though.

Also, was it me or was Cyclops bordering on the adorably woobie (rather than whiny) in that film? Bless him.

Found your post randomly. Re: GDL, yesterday was the first day of filming this, that's how his character looks (apparently with fake tan and blond highlights too).
