Cell Phone Etiquette

This is definitely going to be a ranty-style post. I will start by saying that I keep my cell phone on silent/vibrate. This is the best option for me and I realize it won’t be the best option for everyone. That said, there are circumstances where it really is the best option.

This semester, I seem to have finally intimidated my students sufficiently that any cell phone indiscretions are few and seldom.

That's a bit complicated. These are college students, not high school kids. My rule is that if see someone with any electronic device in use during class, they'll asked to leave and will be counted absent.
