CHARACTER INFO
Character name: ParaNoYA - Elizabeth Bridget Santiago
Character PB: EL RIO Photography Model of Day of the Dead Photoshoot 2008
Age: 21

Appearance: ParaNoYA is about 5’2 and being a dancer gives her a lean, muscular build, which dims what would be a petite and typical female body structure. She’s naturally pale, though not as pale as the face paint she wears and without the face paint she holds stitching scars on her lips, where her mouth had been stitched shut. Her hair is a dusty black and reaches well past her waist, and at the ends her hair is twisted into soft curls.
She can be seen wearing a black pant suit, complete with black Jazz pants made for dancing and easy movement. As well as a three button, long sleeve, black jacket which reaches to her waist. Beneath that, she wears a long sleeve white button up top, with a straight black tie. She has sleek black shoes, and wears black socks to match with her Jazz pants. Her face is done up in the classic style of Day of the Dead make-up. Lips painted white with black lines stitched horizontally to give her the grin of a skeleton. Her cheeks are painted black to give her the depth of a skull as well, and her eyes are painted black all giving her the ghastly look of a skeleton face.

Personality: ParaNoYA is a complicated little lady, though she will happily deny such a comment. She is insane, completely insane, and confidently admits to at least this much. While she is capable of talking your ear off about absolutely nothing, she is also capable of talking about rather serious things. However, she’ll never tell you when said important topic is being discussed, she leaves it up to you. If you don’t listen, it’s not her problem, it’s yours.
Focus on her name, it is paranoia spelled simply with a “y” and a few capitalized letters. But like her name, when in her presence she doesn’t really do anything to you unless she finds you of some massive interest. If she likes you, she’ll gladly invade your personal bubble, if she doesn’t like you she’ll keep her distance and make little to no eye contact with you.
Her most important rule, and one she always says to people is “You don’t touch ParaNoYA, ParaNoYA touches you. Bad things happen when you touch ParaNoYA”.

History:
Elizabeth Bridget Santiago, or Beth, was the only child of Gloria and Alejandro Santiago, born and raised in a small neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. When Elizabeth was very young she was always with her mother, of course unless little Elizabeth was in school, any other time she was at her mother’s side. Going to the grocery store, grandparents house, celebrations of sorts, this included the Day of the Dead marches that were often held in their neighborhood and elsewhere with Elizabeth’s family. Elizabeth loved her mother and loves her father very dearly, however her darling mother became victim of a drive by shooting when Elizabeth was six years old. Her father, Alejandro, was left alone with a little girl and had just finished his academy training to become a police officer. It was a long time before Elizabeth’s father met her step-mother named Angela Montgomery. Around this time, Elizabeth began to display classic symptoms of DID - Dissociative Identity Disorder, or otherwise known as Split Personality. She would “black out” for days on end and her worst case was when she woke up in an insane asylum and was told she had already been there for about six months; she was 13 years-old. According to her records she had been displaying violent and questionable tendencies around her father’s girlfriend, finally resulting in her being examined by a psychologist and lashing out at him. Three months after she was released with heavy medication, her father and step-mother were married, and nine months later she had a little brother named Timothy.
Elizabeth was 16 when a group of friends from school introduced to her a club called “CReIp SHoW!”. An underground dance club that held nightly performances of a young man named Richard Duke, a popular transvestite Tonie, and a contortionist Luke. Elizabeth found the club a new release for her, and when the job opportunity appeared in her new favorite club. Elizabeth jumped at it, expecting to be nothing more than a waitress, but caught the eye of Tonie and was shoved into becoming a background dancer in their latest Halloween show. Tonie, the one in charge of all entertainment in the club, suggested that Elizabeth be given a more productive role in the show and thus ParaNoYA (and the show ParaNoYA) was born. With her dance partner Richard Duke, now nick named HavaGren, Tonie and Luke - ParaNoYA slowly became more than a persona and started to become Elizabeth. The once sarcastically monotone teenager became the radically spontaneous, wild, dancing super star of the Los Angeles underground. The new found starlet then became part of the Club Managers “second job” - or perhaps his first job which helped him create his club in the first place. Luis, a member of the Mexican Cartel and one of their top dealers for drug imports and exports, introduced a problem to Tonie, sales were down and a man named Gritter promised good drugs for a price that could not be over looked. Seeing agile HavaGren and ParaNoYA, which both provided some form of quick thinking gave ParaNoYA yet another job opportunity. ParaNoYA was 18.
Gritter became not just a business partner for ParaNoYA but also her first fling, and also the man to blame for her first near death experience, stitching her mouth shut and throwing her off a bridge drugged and more dead than alive. ParaNoYA sold out Gritter to the police after she found that she could play two sides and have just as much fun. Girtter found out and went after ParaNoYA’s family, shooting her father, mugging her step-mother and beating her, and kidnapping her little brother. However, due to ParaNoYA’s limited ability to feel much of anything towards someone like Gritter - a onetime fling and a man whose sanity was already questionable - she got her pay back in more ways than one. She blew up, not just Gritter’s mansion, but his state of business and set him on fire. The name ParaNoYA spread quickly after that, and soon Elizabeth Bridget Santiago was no longer just another Mexican girl from LA who could dance - but a Mexican Vixen with a title, a nasty temper and holding the reputation of be completely and totally insane. But open, and willing to try anything more than once… That is if it was the fun the first time… Maybe.
