CAMELOT!!! diana_abel October 31 2011, 21:58:01 UTC
It was most unsettling, this peculiar and...noisy shop. As she opened her eyes, her first thought was that, surely, it was some scheme on the part of Margawse, to attain the sword. Fearfully, her eyes flicked back and forth, trying to locate the witch, but there were so many people, all of them needlessly shouting, that she couldn't make heads or tails of the situation.

She would have to call upon the Crusaders.

Swirling her hands in the air, she whispered the words to a magical spell. At once, a geyser of water shot up into the air, just in front of her. It formed an orb. "Find me the heroes of Camelot," she told the orb. Instantly, the orb shattered like broken glass. Each shard turned into a smaller ball of water and they scattered in all directions, flitting around the air like fireflies.

And now, she turned her attention to the strangers in her midst. Any one of them could be a servant of Margawse. She might have to eliminate them. But that would hinge upon the words of her king.

She felt a tug from across...well, who knew how far? But she felt it as though someone were standing behind her, taking her elbow. A brief moment of panic surged through her, thinking it belonged to an enemy, but through the ether, she heard someone whispering.

Emrys.

A smile curled her lips. The forces of good were strong in this place, whatever it was. Excalibur would be safe.

"Hurry this way, Emrys," she whispered, sending her words to the water. "Hurry."

The words should act as a warning. He's been led astray before through similar methods. But this...feels different. The voice feels familiar in a way he can't describe. And it's why his pace picks up, a few apologies being thrown back over his shoulders at the people he bumps in to along the way. They're half-hearted at best though, his nervousness growing as he feels the source getting closer. Stronger...

He stops short when he's finally there. When he finally spots her.

"You're the one Freya sent me to." The feeling is the same. The arm, the lake, the sword. He hadn't met with her, but he knows that this is the very same woman. She has to be. "You're not meant to be here. It isn't safe."

It surprised her a little bit, when he first appeared. She did not remember the last time he was without a beard. But there was no mistaking those eyes; so bright, so filled with...well...there wasn't a good word for it. He was just Merlin. That was an adjective itself. And it melted the shock on her face into a warm smile.

"None of us are meant to be here, Emrys," she chided him fondly. "We were brought, no doubt for some horrible purpose. But whoever did it--Margawse, no doubt--will be sorely disappointed. Now that we're together."

She held a hand out to him. "We have work to do. Arthur is going to need our help."

"We're not. But you least of-" Wait. Hold on a moment. "Arthur's here? In this city?" Despite all that he's seen during his time trapped, even with those visions, he hadn't expected the prince to turn up. Not really. Though he'd be lying if he said there wasn't a part of him that was hoping he would.

"Morgana took Morgause with her. But wherever they are right now, it doesn't make a difference to us while we're here. Not unless they've turned up too." That part, he's hoping he's wrong about. He may have friends he can rely on, but facing down those two witches is something he doesn't ever want them involved with.

He takes ahold of her hand then, looking even more determined now. "We need to find Arthur and talk."
