There is so much here that I think not being on opposite sides of the continent would solve. I also see a large portion of the burden would go away if you were not giving yourself such a bad report card. Some perspective would help here.
You're so right on the perspective as well as not being on opposite sides of the continent.
It's funny that you mention perspective in relation to the art piece I decided to post along with this entry. You so often see my subconscious so clearly and you always offer the most sound advice and insights.
"Karelia (Opus 2)" and the following "Kidnapper Bell" always manage to put me in the mood my subconscious desires - I have no control over who I when listening to that entire record. It's one I've had for years and can still pop in and find it refreshing and brand new each time.
It seems as though soul-searching is in the air again. Even if someone isn't in school or another institution based on semesters, they search for answers to frustration during this time. Something about the incoming Spring breezes I guess. I fear, however, that no one can provide solutions - not even the wallower. Which, of course, brings about even more frustration....
Actually, instead of giving you the prognosis you already know, I'll say this - soon your mind, body and spirit will give up the fight against themselves and a certain (if temporary) calm might pass over you.
I feel like I'm offering truisms now. Ignore this. I'll post it just for the sake of responding. What tough questions you raise.
Yeah, I have to thank you for that album... I love everything you ripped for me.
...and thanks for responding. I never ignore your posts or comments. There are ways in which you and I are amazingly similar and you always offer me insights.
just because the specifics of what your upset/depressed about may seem very banal and silly doesn't mean that the feelings they illicit are inadequate and insincere. if you're feeling an emotion, even if what is causing that emotion doesn't seem worthwhile, don't disregard and invalidate that emotional state.
and btw, i think think it's part of getting older that men get more gassy. i bet i could blow you out of the water (literally)...

amazing how our moods sometimes mirror each other, even when we haven't been talking. i, too, am in a funk. and not the cool-groovy-music kind.
