While they can certainly meet, due to the sexual division of magic in Discworld, any magical sharing will be next to nil. He is a wizard; his magic will be flashy, less sensible and often frivolous... Not to mention dangerous. Witch magic is usually subtle, rarely used, and hard to grasp at. Her more important skills are hospice care, midwifing, and cheese making.

Sure, though I wouldn't lump him in with Discworld wizards, especially since Merlin is a younger man and is relatively new to the whole magic thing. He's still coming into his own in terms of magic and he's trying to learn everything/anything he can from people who know what they're doing, so he's more respectful of the way magic is used, generally. And though he will use magic sometimes to help him clean >.> most of the time Merlin uses his magic to save people's lives.
