Tomorrow is the birthday of the very delicious, smart and sweet secretlybronte and because I will be rushing around like an idiot all day, I thought I'd post her little birthday fic tonight.

I'm intrigued by the choice of 2nd person. t gave this strange little feel of distance in Fraser's POV, which worked well with the time slips, the remembering and forgetting.

And this is a wonderful scent desription" You can smell it as his wing curves around you, enfolding you in the scent of cold air and cinnamon and crushed grass and open water. I want to small Ray's wings. RIGHT NOW.

I was intrigued by it too! That's why I thought I'd try it. As a reader it's a very fascinating POV because the info is leaked a little at a time and so controlled and focussed - as a writer... well, give it a go and see what you think, if you haven't done so already. I loved it. I felt I was better able to experience the things that Fraser thought interesting than the usual "moving the plot along" type narrative.
