Lipstick Month Post #21: Ever Bilena Matte lipsticks

Jul 31, 2013 13:00

Here's a post about something new and completely different - heh, just kidding. This is about a trio of matte lipsticks again but what's different is that it's from a local brand. I don't post that much local brands here because I'm working now and can afford to branch out and try more higher end stuff. But when I was a student and when I started working, my makeup bag was full of local stuff. I still browse from time to time but I haven't bought anything from local brands in a while. If you want to try out local brands, I suggest you go for the lipsticks first because I swear, there are a lot of little gems out there.

These are lipsticks from Ever Bilena. I think of all the local brands, Ever Bilena probably has some of the nicest and most affordable lipsticks. I have Mauvey, Offbeat Pink and Pink Flame in my stash.

Mauvey is a mauve-nude color. I've been trying to find a nude color that would suit me but so far, this isn't it. It might work well with lighter skinned girls though. This just washes me out and does not look pretty on me. Offbeat Pink is a blue-toned light pink color which looks bright and pretty. I can wear pinks easily and this is no exception. I think this is Ever Bilena's dupe of Nouveau Pink. Pink Flame, on the other hand, is a raspberry pink color that's very pretty and lively. It's not very unique but  if you don't have this color yet, you might want to swatch it and see for yourself how pretty this color is. Just a bit of warning, this is very drying on the lips. It sucks the moisture out of your lips. That might put you off but if it doesn't, you can wear a balm underneath or pair it will hydrating lip gloss. Ever Bilena is availabe everywhere and by everywhere, I mean Watsons, SM, etc.
