My best friend's mother (and consequently my second mother) is currently in ICU. Last night found a gathering of family including her husband, daughters, son in laws, her "second daughters" (i.e. me), ex husband and his wife, brother in law and sister in the emergency waiting room. A restless, sleepness night found us in her ICU room the next

What happened? I will keep Alyse and her mom & family/friends in my prayers. I just lost my Mom in October, and she was in the ICU for 4 days before we moved her to Hospice, so I know what that is like.

I'm sorry. I wish there was more I could do other than offer my sympathy and support.

She had a seizure while driving and hit a tree. Still in ICU and unable to communicate due to weakness and the ventilator. The dr's say she will have a very long recovery, they couldn't even finish "fixing" anything because her body couldn't take any more surgery.

Sometimes when sympathy and support is all you have, it's enough. Thank you =)
