One store, Pica Pica, has a few kitchen items. I found a bunch of bento bags there, and the saleslady told me that at one point there had been matching bento boxes but they'd sold out. It's kind of like a small dollar store where things are more than a dollar! I suppose they get in new stock pretty regularly. There's also a Sanrio store with a few things, but really not very much. They have a LOT of stuff on sale, though, and I got some little bento boxes there half price today. They get in new stock every month. Pica Pica isn't on the directory in the mall (although it is listed on the website). It's store number 501.

I haven't seen the purely decorative bento boxes there, but the easy microwavability and machine-wash-ability of their ordinary plastic and glass containers goes a long way for me.

Their Ramune is 20 cents cheaper and they have some items that Lotte's doesn't carry, like the stuff to make bubble tea, including the giant straws. This place is basically a hole in the wall which I only stopped into because it's down the block from the Bamboo Buffet. They only have one bento like item, it's the three tier round metal bento box that I've seen at least one person use. It might be a good bento choice for an adolescent boy as it's definitely not girly. It looks a bit like the farthest left box in this pic (sorry for the poor quality).

A huge supermarket with a cross between Latino and Korean groceries. In the back there's a fish counter where you pick out whole fish and they slice them up for you. Also, in the back left corner there is a kitchen section. Against the back wall you will find those molds that make cylindrical sushi and sakura vegetable cutters, as well as other gadgets. There is also a cram packed gift shop type place next to the fish counter. Here is where the bento boxes are secretly stashed. They have the white and black pig character fork and spoon sets, Pucca character metal American style lunch boxes, one level boxes shapped like the Hello Kitty rabbit mascot's head, and a giant two tier Hello Kitty bento which says "My bear so smilish, when he so stylish." They are hidden down the last two dead end rows on your left as you enter the shop.

Expressions Bookstore, at Sta. Lucia Metro East Mall, Marcos Highway smack on the Marikina/Cainta border, interestingly enough, has a bento containers section for kids - they're colorful and come in a variety of sizes. I got a narrow, two-layered set with an elastic strap which helps me control portion size. One store, Pica Pica, has a few kitchen items. I found a bunch of bento bags there, and the saleslady told me that at one point there had been matching bento boxes but they'd sold out. It's kind of like a small dollar store where things are more than a dollar! I suppose they get in new stock pretty regularly. There's also a Sanrio store with a few things, but really not very much. They have a LOT of stuff on sale, though, and I got some little bento boxes there half price today. They get in new stock every month. This place is basically a hole in the wall which I only stopped into because it's down the block from the Bamboo Buffet. They only have one bento like item, it's the three tier round metal bento box that I've seen at least one person use. It might be a good bento choice for an adolescent boy as it's definitely not girly. It looks a bit like the farthest left box in this pic (sorry for the poor quality).

A huge supermarket with a cross between Latino and Korean groceries. In the back there's a fish counter where you pick out whole fish and they slice them up for you. Also, in the back left corner there is a kitchen section. Against the back wall you will find those molds that make cylindrical sushi and sakura vegetable cutters, as well as other gadgets. There is also a cram packed gift shop type place next to the fish counter. Here is where the bento boxes are secretly stashed. They have the white and black pig character fork and spoon sets, Pucca character metal American style lunch boxes, one level boxes shapped like the Hello Kitty rabbit mascot's head, and a giant two tier Hello Kitty bento which says "My bear so smilish, when he so stylish." They are hidden down the last two dead end rows on your left as you enter the shop.

Expressions Bookstore, at Sta. Lucia Metro East Mall, Marcos Highway smack on the Marikina/Cainta border, interestingly enough, has a bento containers section for kids - they're colorful and come in a variety of sizes. I got a narrow, two-layered set with an elastic strap which helps me control portion size. I also found there a Strawberry Shortcake bento box, which my daughter keeps with her in her room, for her snacks. They also have little drink jugs in a variety of cute colors.
