Its fine that our conversation was cut short. I understand that it can be weird when a pet is dying. Even if it is just a rat.

I am not supposed to hit the children, but I am allowed to make them stand in the corner, and I am allowed to make them do shit like hold their hands above their head or a trash can above their heads. I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard from everyone here that if they are really bad, we are supposed to tell our Korean partner teacher, and they will hit the shit out of them with a stick. They will hit them on their knuckles and their back and just be yelling at them the whole time. I think that will freak me out a bit when I see that for the first time, because some of these kids are tiny.

At this point I am finding a very hard time finding reasons not to like my job here, and Korea is awesome. I was reading earlier that you don't have a job; come to Korea. So far, it has been one of the best moves I have ever made, and I'm sure you could still find time to freelance write if that is what you really want to do. I'm feeling like a fucking job recruiter right now, but I'm just trying to say that I have been having the time of my life since I came here.

Hah! I have a few more responsibilities right now that need taking care of than I did right after college (car loan, credit card debts, apartment lease that costs a shitload of money to get out of...that sort of thing). Otherwise, I'd seriously be there with you. If this joblessness thing lasts until my lease is up...I might just find a way to join you! I'm really glad you're having a great time, though. I want to see pictures, and I want you to change your benrb57 photo to something less surly!
