I would suggest rhubarb crumble, except you used up all the sugar already.

I am wondering about rhubarb crumble, as haven't had it in ages. But, though weve bought another kilo of sugar, we are now out of cream (having made fools) ... also it'll be incredibly rich after a roast dinner, which I am also planning for later.

It'd probably be even better tomorrow. So you could make it today and eat it tomorrow.

I had roast dinner last night, courtesy of mum. It's nice to have food like that when the weather's crap like now.

It's not quite november-y enough for stews and casseroles and the like - but we have postponed things like feta salad (to be replaced with chillied salmon and veg cous cous last night, for example)

I wonder if rhubarb works in smoothies (I've stewed it with a bit of ginger, which works really well, incidentally) it's a bit stringy for drinking I expect.

And besides, my blender is dead.

Rhubarb works nicely with strawberries, you could make rhubarb-strawberry juice (2 parts rhubarb, 2.5 parts strawberries, 1.5 parts sugar). Or then you could make rhubarb-cheesecake. Or rhubarb-yogurt pie (with cinnamon, and some ginger and nutmeg), or rhubarb pie with coconut.

Gosh, I actually found a recipe for (yuk) rhubarb coleslaw! (Rhubarb, cabbage, sour cream, mayo and spices). Rhubarb salmon??!! Rhubarb tortillas with caramel sauce? Some people clearly have too much time and rhubarbs at their hands!

I think we might have a few strawberries. Possibly seven. #hunts#

And I really like the idea of rhubarb cheesecake - and I haven't made a cheesecake in ages (except the apple thing a while back, which was more a cake with cheese in - which worked really well, but isn't quite the same)

There was a gorgeous recipe in the Guardian last year - rhubarb and black pudding. Wonderful from the start ("What's for dinner darling?" "Rhubarb and black pudding") to the finish (ie the actual eating). I would recommend it with my dying breath, and probably have the best parting words to the universe, ever.
