Movie meme: actors and actresses

Comment "I want" and I will give you ten actors and ten actresses. Then post in your LJ with your favorite films of theirs.

kattahj gave me:

William Hurt
-> Because I recognize so few films in his filmography, I'll pick The Village - I really enjoyed this one.

Denzel Washington
-> Maybe he has the leading role in other movies, but he was in Much Ado About Nothing and I've seen this movie dozens of times, I can't not pick it.

John Goodman
-> Forgive my lack of originality if I choose The Big Lebowski - there would have been no movie without him. But I must say that he made a most memorable president in The West Wing, considering the very few episodes he was in.

Brad Pitt
-> Oh my, I can only pick one of them? *Cheats* Fight Club and Twelve Monkeys, on the basis that neither movie would have been the same if you had cast someone else in his parts. (Once again, not very original, sorry.)

Michael York
-> I can't believe I've seen so few films of his. (Again.) Murder on the Orient Express it has to be, then.

Morgan Freeman
-> As I needn't rec The Shawshank Redemption, I'll go for the lesser-known Lucky Number Slevin that really caught my interest when I recently saw it on TV. I can't remember though how important Morgan Freeman's part was. And while I'm at it: if you're hesitating between seeing Gone Baby Gone or not seeing it, do see it.

Jeff Goldblum
-> I'd pick Independance Day because it reminds me of how much fun we had when we saw it with friends some twelve years ago. But as for it being a good movie, ahem, not so sure.

Jaques Tati
-> The only French name, and I have nothing to answer - I haven't seen any of his movies yet.

Robert DeNiro
-> Jackie Brown. Erm. I'll work on seeing more of his movies, and give a 'smarter' answer next time. Deal?

Humphrey Bogart
-> Casablanca - again with the lack of originality.

Lauren Bacall
-> The Big Sleep.

Melanie Lynskey
-> Who? The name wasn't familiar, and the face barely more so. I enjoyed Away We Go, so I'll pick that, but I'm pretty sure I liked her better in The Shield^^

Angela Bassett
-> Err... I've seen her in ER?

Pernilla August
-> Again with the 'who is she?'. Erm, one of the new Star Wars, on the basis that I've seen them, when I haven't seen that many Swedish movies.

Salma Hayek
-> Dogma because she was crazy in it. And if Breaking up is that movie with Matthew Perry, I liked it too.

Angelina Jolie
-> Pushing Tin. There's a rule saying that if John Cusack's in the film, I have to pick it.

Juliette Binoche
-> The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Actually, it's been a long time since I last saw a movie she was in.

Anne Bancroft
-> Pfew, I thought I would draw a blank again because I haven't seen The Graduate, but she was in Keeping the Faith! And Keeping the Faith is a totally awesome movie!

Marilyn Monroe
-> The Seven Year Itch.

Susan Sarandon
-> Little Women? I was sure I had seen more movies she was in, and once more I'm wrong.
