Translation/TV/movies/books - the usual.
+ Translation: I've been bringing English fics to French readers for years now. But hey, we do have some seriously good French authors too, and it's only fair that you should be able to read their stories. So, instead of reviewing jufachlo's story for a third time, I thought I'd share it with you. It's called From Where I Stand, it's HP, Fabian/Frank, Frank/Alice, less than 1000 words. And it's gorgeous, if I may say so.
+ TV shows: Since a few years ago, French tv isn't merely a long re-run marathon during the summer, we get to see new shows. Which would be wonderful, if whoever decides of the programs didn't think it best that several of them air at 11 p.m. during week nights. As it is the custom here to air two or three episodes in a row... you get the picture. In the meantime, for what I've seen of them Dirty Sexy Money and Burn Notice seem like fun.
Now, if I tell you: Jimmy Smits & Richard Schiff, you think The West Wing, right? Well, there's that, but they also happened to be in the same episode of NYPD Blue. I love this show. Not only is it really good, but everyone's who's anyone in today's show has played in it. Debra Messing before she got any sense of interior design. Melina Kanakaredes, before she left for Providence. Jimmy Smits of course, before he was presidential material. I also remember seeing David Schwimmer and Bradley Whitford.
+ Movies: You may still request actors and actresses names in the movie meme.
+ Books: I've posted the list of books I've read in the last couple of months there. Linking to it because some of you usually stop by.
+ Une trad, c'est toujours une occasion de faire de la pub pour l'original. Et une fois n'est pas coutume, l'original est en français puisque j'ai traduit une fic que jufachlo avait posté sur pompom_power il y a quelque temps. Ca s'appelle A ta place, et c'est simplement magnifique. Frank/Fabian, Frank/Alice. Allez-y de ma part^^
