My feeling about non-Alex River has always been that I could learn to be okay with it as long as they hired someone who could play River, and didn't just hire an actress they thought looked like a young Alex Kingston. My favorite thing about the regenerating girl (possibly) being River is that it leaves it open for an actress able to play the part to take over the role, if such an event occurs.

Basically: No Imogene Poots, who I had no feelings regarding until sudden insistence that she play young!River started popping up, and I now find myself rather disliking. :/

I'm pretty open minded about it so long as Moffatt is still in charge. Because he is the only one who loves River more than we do, so I know if a re-cast is needed, he'll make sure it is awesome.
