When Google Fails Me: I'm setting up a pdf of a selection of my stories for my supervisor, and working through author's notes, adding links and so on. In one chapter of a story, I reference a metaquotes - or possibly a comment on a metaquotes, which, yay.

I've decided that if I get to page 350 of Land of Painted Caves I'm allowed to read a different book for a bit.

Weeeell, they kinda do "own" the research, because I did it as part of an internship, meaning I did it for a bigger research project. And I couldn't just throw that data to the winds, because of the whole endangered species thing, let's not tell everyone where the individuals are in case locals want to spear them. But, that said, the project really should share that data with other research projects that it's cooperating with.

When I next reply to the student, I'm going to email my ex-supervisor too and hint that, if they haven't, sharing with the neighbouring researchers (you know, the ones who freakin' saw our individual in their area?) and the local government wildlife national park service would be A Good Thing.

I think I'm going to do a chapter a day for LoPC. I am reading three other books at the same time, though, so it's not s bad. Courage, dear heart!
