I wish I had something interesting to write. Blah. I need to start writing papers for both of my history classes. I think this is the main reason I didn't pick history as a major. I really dislike writing papers. Although, I think I write pretty good papers once I finally get around to it. I just have a really difficult time starting. ( Read more... )

I think I see what's happened here.

Impossible but true.

You've got...a life.

and therefore better things to do with your time than blog. Some of us aren't so lucky...

But, it means I also have better things to do with my life than chat with you. :-( I miss it.

Fascinating--I had no idea Crowded House was still together, much less recording.

I have been expanding the range of groups I will listen to.

I would check out evilnine and Calvin Harris.

I have listened to (and enjoyed) Calvin Harris. I'll look up evilnine later today at some point. Thanks for the tip!

I don't understand the appeal of men in drag, as in Some Like It Hot. Ho-hum. As in Benny Hill. Yawn.

I've been reading about the civil rights movement of the 50s and 60s. It's fascinating, and i HATE history. I didn't know there was a bus boycott in birmingham for three years. It really, really worked. Voting with one's feet (literally...people grouped together to walk or occasionally carpool.) I love it when that kind of thing works. I learned about SNCC and about CSCL or whatever it was called and about how the Selma attack really cleaved the two groups.

History is tricky...it knows I don't like it and so it's sucking me in by being all interesting and shit...
