I try to listen to NPR in the morning (shhh... bad me!) and then CBC TV at night. I also see lots of stuff on the Internet here and there.

Fascinating article. I loved it.

Although I think the opening line should refer to United States journalism, NOT television.

I think there's a problem when news becomes entertainment and entertainment becomes news. It's sad that more people know about Britney Spears' breakdown than know about the efforts to stop hate and killing.

Quite sad indeed. Although, sometimes one needs 'lighter' fare I think too. It's tough. The news here has been so sad lately (including CBC and Global).
