I am not sure why he didn't visit an unemployment office, but then again, Idaho (and arguably, Utah) is small compared to the rest of the world so maybe that is not allowed or is difficult in other states. -

Some of you may know, I have been watching the CBC a lot lately. I try to catch the news for Vancouver which airs at 6 pm or kind of watch "The National" while on my PC at 10 pm. Tonight the temperatures just aren't falling. The fog is coming but hasn't yet reached this area. It is going to be 101 tomorrow (forecast) and it is currently 88 degrees, even up at the KPTV tower (1,800' above sea level). Tonight, as it always seems, was one of the more sad M*A*S*H episodes. I thought "Oh, it must be from the last season or two of the series, when it got very serious." I don't like the store, but it amazes me that from 5 to 11 am tomorrow, one can buy a "George" cashmere wool sweater for just under $30 there. My mom bought a cashmere sweater at Macy*s earlier this season for just under $80 (on "sale") and she had an extra discount to price it below that ( Read more... )
