GOTCHA!

Last night's movie at Stone-Robot Enterprises was for nostalgia. It's dated in a way that makes you alternate between wry smiles and painful cringe, but the rewatch was actually kinda fun.

Oddly, the worst part was that Edwards's character being dumber than a sack of used condoms actually made the bumbling aspect LESS believable.

Also bad: that we ( Read more... )

breasts, movies, cheating, guns, condoms, got you last, nostalgia, trailers

OMG. I HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE. I only shout like that because I don't know of many people who have seen this. I found it on tv one day when I was a kid and my brother and I watched it and laughed wildly. It is a movie that contributes to family in jokes.

You SERIOUSLY need to rewatch it, then. The nostalgia was almost non-stop, it was perpetually dated, but it was surprisingly fun after all these years. A bit slow in one or two places and they should have aimed for an R rating, but still worth your 110 minutes. :)

well dang, I know what I am doing tonight. I may call my brother to tell him to watch it too. A bi-coastal viewing of Gotcha.
And Anthony Edwards' HAIR. (or wig I should say)

fairyarmadillo and I did that with The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension when we were still having to be in love from across the continent.

She's already an attractive woman; making her androgynous just made it hotter. :)

Oh man, I used to love that movie.

Last movie I tried to watch was 13 Frightened Girls. The last one I actually sat through all the way was.. umm.. Dream House. Pretty good flick.

Last movie I watched was "This is Spinal Tap" at a local movie venue - Brewvies. It's a theater/bar/restaurant combo that's 21 & older only. :) I'm sure you'd love the venue... it's a great place. I went with a date, and had a great time. I hadn't seen Spinal Tap before, and quite enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing even more movies by them. Saw Best in Show initially with Matt Fear years ago, and quite loved it as well... Next up from them is "A Mighty Wind" since I have it on DVD. :D

Maybe I'm biased 'cause I grew up in a small town, but I love Waiting for Guffman so very much....

Were you underwhelmed by OLDBOY?!

Still haven't seen Black Swan, nor has fairyarmadillo, but I imagine I'll be slightly more into it than because I sometimes just fucking NEED sad movies. :P
