As if 2008, and May in particular, weren't horrible enough for me, my dad just called to let me know that my grandmother, Thelma Louise Stone, nee Jones, died quietly this morning. She was 89 and had been very ill--not the kind of ill that you get better from--so I know that it was really the best thing. Knowledge like that doesn't really make
