Oh, I know, and I don't enjoy when Thor is written as completely daft. No, he's not the sharpest pencil in the box, but when you're as powerful as him, do you need to be?

Still, tricks work well until the Hulk can connect...

um, planet hulk (a must read) is giving us smart hulk again. or at least crafty hulk.

remember, mean green gets stronger the angrier he gets. If goldilocks starts tickling him, maybe cracking wise, then yeah, the gamma radiation man is going to go ape all over the norse god of thunder.

See, I dodged out on Hulk for a bit there, and Planet Hulk sounded silly...then I learned that it's supposed to be awesome.

I'll have to skim through the first collection to groove on it. Big Hulk fan when it's more than just punching.

I've always been fascinated by those hero vs. hero questions, even though pretty much all of the time I have, at best, only a passing acquaintance with the combatants. I mean, the Hulk everyone on the western hemisphere knows about, but Thor? Only got what's in "How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way" to go on, and that isn't really much beyond how to give a picture of him structure

I suppose I just like answers that are thought out, not just fanboyish "omg hulk ftw" pissdrools

And I kinda wonder what you're like in person. As much awesomery as LJ displays?

Thankfully, I've managed to be a comic book geek without just being a horrible geek who can't shut the fuck up about such things and doesn't know who his state representative is.

And I like to think I can be quite fun, but you'll have to poll the audience of LJers who know me.

I missed this comment!

Here are the big ones:

a) Brilliant Magneto story, epic conclusion, retconned within months of Morrison leaving,

b) Brilliant story with character named Xorn, epic conclusion, retconned within months of Morrison leaving,

c) Several of the villians / heroes he came up with were completely bowlderized (sp) within months.
