Each one features an artist or artist/writer.

They've all been pretty suave, but I think this one and the Howard Chaykin ones have been my faves.

I think I buy too many, but I don't think I'm going to stop any time soon...
Please...is that all you bought today? I have comic book customers that could put you to shame. ;) Really--there's a mom and her son (mid-20s, I think) that have been shopping at my store for at least as long as I've worked there (8+ years), and that's about a third of what they would buy. But do you get comics every week? I hardly ever do mags/comics, so I'm not up on when exactly they come in. I also know that we only get relatively mainstream comics, as we have but one spinner to keep them in.

That's actually Connor. From Grant Morrison's fabulous run on JLA. That was from one of the best "alternate future" things I've ever read.

But yeah, I've got two volumes of the Green Arrow/Green Lantern comics. Ollie gets angry all the time in them.

I am fond of Connor, but they need to do away with the sad idea that he's half-asian with blond hair and blue eyes. Especially since they draw him as a white dude who happens to be very tan. It's the kind of embarassing treatment ethnicities were given in the Golden Age.

I bought 27 new books this week. 27! I've been keeping a monthly log of books for the past two years - in April, I purchased 85 new books. 85!

You'll have to come visit soon. I'm at something like 22 long boxes and 8 short boxes. In the new house, I actually get to have a comic book ROOM!

You should check out www.CollectionDrawer.com. I'm getting me a bunch of those drawer boxes, so I can read what I want, when I want, without lifting several stupid heavy boxes to get there!
