That scene annoyed me. Kevin and Ben first met and bonded over stealing a Sumo Slammers game. The last season finale had Kevin excited about the Sumo Slammers movie (though not fangirl squealing like Ben), and suddenly Kevin doesn't remember the show? Lame! Although the whole take that at themselves with the "the bad guy joined the good guys. I'm just saying, it's kind of unrealistic." was kind of funny.

...Umm...I kind of knew about it, but my reaction was more "WTH is this, Pokemon?" But I am glad it's coming out so soon. Hopefully they worked so hard on it that it explains why the 3rd season had so many moments of fail.

...Sorry. I rant!

More like Digimon, methinks. At least in Pokemon you have to work hard to evolve. Plus, the "Ultimate Aliens" were more like fugly Digimon than fugly Pokemon.

I hope there's more to the new show than just, "new versions of the aliens".

As for the Sumo Slammers thing; I thought it was ironic, since I think AF is a lot better than the first series.

Hi, I'm new!

i kind of got the pokemon/digimon vibe, too. :\
I DON't UNDERSTAND WHY HE HAD SUCH LITTLE INTEREST, EITHER. it irritates me.

AAAAH. AHHH. SPOILERS.

Anything spoilerish under a cut, plz. Some UK viewers might not have seen the episode yet. I'm not privy to the schedules in other countries, but it's always better to be safe.

As for your questions, YES I DID SEE THE SIGNIFICANCE. McDuffie better be saying something good is on the horizon, because I am v disappointed in him atm. Also, I can't believe Kevin was all "fuck this shit, I'm out" about Sumo Slammers. You'd think that pointless violence action would be his genre. He's not exactly a classy guy. I kind of raged about that for a minute and the implication didn't smack me in the face until this morning ( ... )

Took care of the tagging, added a new tag: "spoiler'd milk" for all future posts with spoilers. I should probably go back and tag old posts with spoilers, too. Hmm...This looks like a job for spring break boredom.

srry, iddk if it was detailed enough to count. XD
WASN'T THAT SCENE PACKED WITH UNDERLYING DRAMA? i was like, OH, SHIT. i thought kevin not caring was lame, too. :\ i mean, hello? he's always been excited about it before...
i usually can only catch it on saturday mornings, and they do usually only show the half-hour episodes. which is lame, 'cause that means i missed half of the episode. DX like, when they showed the preview for the new series, i was like, WTF THIS ONE ISN'T EVEN DONE YET. but apparently it's because i caught a different version. :[
ME TOO. i hope it doesn't turn out lame. but even if it does, at least it's hopefully going to give us extra info for fandom purposes.
actually, i tried adding my poster tag ('cause it's one of only ones i knew fit), but it told me i wasn't authorized... and tags are just hard for me sometimes because don't always understand the ones here. XD i have to check entries there with to try and compare.

"Hero Generation" was also the working title for Alien Force, was it not? The meta gag was very nice, them taking jabs at themselves. Obviously this is a case where Kev was playing naysayer for the sake of the gag, rather than character interests. (Uh hello, Kev should know what the hell Sumo Slammers are.)

But that happens. Consider the show painfully self-aware for that moment in time.

As for DVRing the episodes, the listings were screwed for a lot of providers. Episodes aired early in the UK, so when they aired over here, some listings gave them the original UK air dates. Your box treats it as a 'repeat'. And doesn't record it.

Instead, the 8 am episode was marked new (part 1 only, instead of the full hour), and that's what you get. Part 2 will be on at 8 am next Saturday by the by for those that missed it.

UK got them first for once? Huh, I thought it was usually the other way around. Weird it happened that way.

i enjoyed the moment of self-awareness, i will admit. XD
and thanks for that, now i'll know when to watch for it.

Don't even know what I thought of the finale. It was weird. There were lolz, but not many (familial hug featuring guest Speedos). There was win, but not epic amounts of it. There was fail, but I don't think it bugged me too much as I was expecting it.

I've got hope for the new show, but I'm not sure I understand the draw of this 'ultimate' concept. I guess it's so they can make transformer-style toys, right? Also, I'm sad about outfits :(

I like to think this season was so gash because McDuffie was pouring all his time, effort and love into the new series.

It could happen...

i agree. :\ there were moments that just gave me giant starry eyes, and others where i seriously thought about changing the channel. it wasn't awful, but i had hopes it would be a little better.
why did that make me think of mutant kevin transforming into his/a car? i don't know. but it's amusing me. [lol]
it could... XD but if it does, then mcduffie's laaame~. because why would you have a win, fail, win thing going on? i'll be so mad if the new series comes out epic and puts alien force to shame or something. XD

McDuffie says he was actually asked to tone some things back down to drag the show back to its 8-11 year old boys demo. That's why elements from the original series returned in season 3 that just didn't make sense after the way the first two set the stage ( ... )

Hey, I have a few comments about the finale re: Albedo. First off, am I the only one who finds his chili fries obsession really funny?
Second: After the whole thing with Ben being upset they couldn't save Krabbe at the beginning of the episode, I thought it was a little odd that they didn't save Albedo at the end! They didn't even comment on him not being there. In fact, he kinda just disappeared after he gave Ben the Ulti... trix or whatever the heck it's called.

THE WHOLE TIME AFTER ALBEDO GAVE HIM THE ULTIMATRIX I WAS LIKE, "UH GUYS WHAT ABOUT ALBEDO? DOES NOBODY LOVE THE WHITE-HAIRED PRETTY BOY FROM XENOSAGA?!"
