Evangelion is really good, actually. I especially love Auska. But it does get very confusing at the end, for sure. And why are you watching it in English?

We haven't met Asuka yet, but everyone seems to agree that she's awesome/makes the series better. We're watching it in English because that's how Brazil likes it best. *shrugs* He offered to let us watch it in Japanese for an episode or two, but eh. I'm learning to deal?
