Eh, I don't really care if it does. It won't be nearly as good as what has already been done. When it flops, they'll realize you don't need to fix what ain't broken. :-P

If they chose a brand new Slayer to build off of, fine. But the only people that might check out a new Buffy are those who've never seen any other Buffy. If they actually get to filming, I have a feeling this'll be marketed to the Twilight generation, cuz boy, are they clueless.

Now, there's an idea I could get behind. That would give you the slayer idea, but not try to redo everything that's already been done. Remakes are never good, unless they are better than the original, and that's extremely rare. I agree that the new Batman series is fucking awesome, but they haven't just rehashed the same stories. Somehow, I doubt a new BtVS will be crafted quite so well. :-P
