Sam was in deep in a way that he'd never even imagined he could be. Of course...with his luck, he was hardly surprised. After all, who else would finally get in a relationship with an amazing girl...only to be wrapped up in a super-secret government plot as a direct result?

All these doubts and thoughts rushed through his head as he sat down on the curb, resting his head between his knees.

"...I still can't believe this..."

And for good reason. Red was still working overtime trying to run damage control, and Bea's call found him getting a status report over three rather harried computer specialists working on New and Improved firewalls and other defensive programming measures.

Red's headset was a thing of wonder and probably would have cost about as much as his prized Lamborghini if he'd actually paid for it. "Red here," he answered briskly, waving at the technician to continue.

"I'm really sorry about all this, Sam. I didn't mean for you to get wrapped up in any of it," Bea said, glancing apologetically towards the other teen before hearing Red pick up on the other end.

"...Heeeey, Red! I um....are you busy?"

"Yeah," Red replied automatically, listening to the technician continue. Fortunately, all of Red's subordinates have (mostly) gotten used to this sort of thing, and so she wasn't too flustered.

"But I'm always busy," Red continued. "What's the problem?"

"Um....well there, uh...there might have been a tiny breach in security protocol tonight. Like...just now," Bea said, approaching the conversation as cautiously as possible.

Finally having managed to drag Frenzy out of the theater and away before security could show up, Jazz shakes his head as he watches the crazy Irishman leave, muttering something about mint and twigs. After making sure he wasn't going to be followed, he heads for his car and climbs into the driver's seat, pulling out his cell phone and dialing Red's number; the Security Director definitely needed to know about this.

"What's your status?" was how Red answered that call, hardly five minutes after Bea's. "Do you need assistance or a medic?"

"Bea already called, ya? All fruit's ripe, mon, Grabby-grabby be gone an' I be fine," Jazz answers, not surprised by this at all as he starts up his car.

"Where is he?" Red wants to know, with distinct overtones of 'why isn't he bleeding out on the floor do I have to do everything myself?' "Report."

"Sam!"

Bea left her laptop sitting on the floor where she had been waiting, jumping up to wrap her arms tightly around the taller boy when he was finally let out of the conference room.

"Are you okay? I saw Orion go in, but I didn't think him or Mr. Banachek would really yell at you or anything. What did they say? You aren't in any trouble, right?"

Pushed back against the wall just next to the doorway as a result of Bea's rather enthusiastic embrace, Sam chuckled.

"...Well, I'm happy to see you too...but I think this'd work better if you asked one question at a time~"

"Tch, you're fine," Bea deducted with an amused sound, lingering there with her arms locked around Sam's middle before pulling back suddenly and turning to grab up her laptop.

"Come on. Let's talk somewhere else before they decide you need to sign something else," she said, tucking her laptop under an arm and grabbing up his hand with her free one.

Sam definately did not spend a few moments admiring Bea's behind as she bent over to collect her laptop...

"Y-yeah, I would definately agree there..." He nodded, squeezing her arm softly as he shifted his gaze quick enough to avoid her attentions.

...Unless her reactions were faster too. As they began to walk down the hallway, Sam suddenly realized just how many times she would've noticed already had that been the case.
