It's rather sad that her own uncle did not think of her, and it fell to Hama to remind him. :-(

Not for nothing did Eowyn prefer death. At least Gandalf could see her frustration and the way Wormtongue was exacerbating it.

I remember how much I identified with Eowyn, and how glad I was when she showed her mettle, and how pissed I was when she threw it all away to be a housewife. :-/
