That was a lovely reading! It would have been surprising indeed had they found a fitting hauberk for Gimli in Théoden's armoury! ;o) I've also always wondered why it wasnt't Théoden who thought tho choose Éowyn. He must have had ample experience with her abilities and courage.

I found it sad that Theoden did not think of his niece. I always liked Hama for putting her forward.
