I have not, actually, completely wasted today, despite having the most tenuous grip on the vertical, and a splitting headache all day.

I have been researching.  I have found almost all the logos on Caboose's costume (ok, one I've only got in red not green, but that's what colorise is for!) So now I know what they are, and can blow them up and print

ok. none of those railroads exist anymore today. the PRR merged with new york central to become penn central, then it went bankrupt and became conrail. then conrail as bought up by CSX and norfolk southern.

b&o is the baltimore and ohio railroad.

c&o is the chesapeake and ohio railroad.

both of those railroads merged (along with western maryland) in the 70s to become CHESSIE SYSTEM.

chessie system merged with seaboard system in the early 80s to form CSX.

the logo behind the cowcatcher is for the old northern pacific, which became great northern in the 60s or 70s, then burlington northern in the mid 70s, and is now part of burlington northern santa fe (BNSF)

the PRR didnt have any observation cars because of tunnels that limited clearances on many of their routes.
