Howdy, I'm the literature teacher and percussion teacher (band/orchestra, meaning she's an assistant band director) for all of y'all. Sign up for my classes start today.

Requirements for 1st semester literature
☆First Year's Reading List: Animal Farm (George Orwell), Mansfield Park (Jane Austen), I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (Maya Angelou)

☆Second Year's Reading List: Nineteen Eighty Four (George Orwell), Memoirs of a Geisha (Arthur Golden), To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee), Night (Elie Wiesel)

☆Third Year's Reading List: Gentleman's Agreement (Laura Z. Hobson), Emma (Jane Austen), Madame Bovary (Gustave Flaubert), Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Tom Sawyer), A Christmas Carol (Charles Dickens)

☆Fourth Year's Reading List: Pride & Prejudice (Jane Austen), Atonement (Ian McEwan), Othello (William Shakespeare), Slaughterhouse-Five (Kurt Vonnegut), The Adventures of Oliver Twist (Charles Dickens), A Clockwork Orange (Anthony Burgess)

Requirements for percussion (Marching Season)
☆You must have your own mallet bag with mallets for all percussion insturments. (This means hard mallets (1 pair), yarn mallets (3 pairs), timpani mallets (one pair for each timpani), base drum mallet (1 pair), drum sticks (1 pair, for snare/axillary), tom-tom mallets [aka "toms", "quads", etc] (1 pair)

☆Sectionals:
Battery/Drumline is from 6:30 A.M. - 7:30 A.M. (before school)
Pit is from 4:30 P.M. - 5:30 P.M. (after school)

All sectionals are mandatory!
